Exceptional Service:
A combination of attitude and competence are required to provide exceptional service.
Getting up in the morning and actually looking forward to the challenges of work make all the difference in the world. It should be a pleasure doing the job whether working with customer or coworker, boss or employee; everything should be done "with pleasure" and with the intent of satisfying and delighting. This does not mean always acting chipper or not setting appropriate boundaries with others. Simply, people who like their job are more productive and help those around them be more productive.
Professionalism, to me, means being one of the best in your field. There is specialized professionalism, like a doctor must fully comprehend the study and practice of medicine. The components of specialized professionalism vary depending on the field. Generalized professionalism are the traits which carry over into all forms of business (and life.) There are simple practical elements to general professionalism like follow through, communication, organization, thoroughness, thoughtful action, time management and punctuality. There are also more abstract factors like maturity, constant learning, balance, vision and confidence.
A person who possesses both specialized and generalized professionalism has competence in their field and combined with a "with pleasure" attitude can provide exceptional service.
This was not a copy and paste, this is just my personal thoughts on business philosophy which I genuinely believe and I hope they help you get an idea of who I am regarding working.
