Volunteer:
In college, for a class project, I helped found a student organization (Students of Shalom) dedicated to social service regarding poverty. We put on a successful food and clothing drive. I found that I enjoyed volunteering and, with some of my friends, volunteered at the SF Food Bank. Since moving to San Diego I have been volunteering at the local library (about once a week, mostly just shelfing books) and am in the process of joining Big Brothers, Big Sisters (long process).
Fitness/ Athletics:
My appreciation for food and drink make fitness a very necessary part of life. Luckily, I enjoy working out. I do cardio and lift at 24.

I also sometimes swim, jog outdoors and enjoy participating in a variety of sports; my favorites are basketball and baseball.
Unfortunately, the rigor in which I pursue fitness activities ebbs and flows depending on the complexities of life. Currently, I am very happy with my strength and cardio but would not mind losing that extra bit of mass.
Intellectual Pursuits:
I try to read at least 100 pages a day and write at least 1000 words. I love to learn and I study an eclectic range of topics like religion, marketing, web 2.0, chess, accounting, mythology and whatever else strikes my fancy. I adore the library and am somewhat of a luddite when it comes to print, however I tend supplement that with online research.

Conventional Entertainment:
I also enjoy conventional entertainment like reading for pleasure, movies, tv, video games, etc. I tend to sometimes geek out on SciFi a bit but also enjoy other genres. I write an entertainment blog and review whatever I am reading, watching, playing or listening to.
Food/ Drink:
One of my passions is food and drink. I really enjoy cooking and specialize in grilling, spicy dishes and homemade pizza.
I also have a passion for craft beer tasting and I keep a beer blog (
ciceronito) and am active in the online craft community.

Motorcycle:
I have been riding since late 2007 and I love it and wish I had started sooner. I bought a 2008 Triumph Street Triple 675 and it is a hot little bike. I very much enjoy riding and have gone moto camping a couple of times. In fall 2008 I rode from Marin to San Diego on Highway 1.
